Soon we will move home again … Thank you for everything Iceland 🇮🇸 🔜 🇸🇪

Checking in to start packing this year ….

A lot is happening to me right now.

The time in Iceland is coming to an end and we will move back to Sweden in about 2 weeks. Starting to mentally prepare myself for it. Very practical to grab then so it will probably be best to recharge the batteries properly. There are so many mixed feelings: happiness, sadness, worry, bubbling joy yes everything mixed in a crazy mix.

This year has been absolutely amazing in so many ways

We have met friends for life, the children have had the time of their lives with an incredibly wonderful freedom. The schools, leisure, all the activities that are available are magically well run. Have probably never before been to a place that is so well adapted for children. And then I do not mean by amusement park and toys but that it should have a natural place in society. And what I love is the system they have with activities for children. All children receive the same “pot” of money each semester that they may use for activities. And that’s enough, Isa could train both handball and karate (a total of 4 times) per week for this money! So good that there does not have to be any differences no matter what family you grow up in.

All meetings, amazing people, commitment and love I will live for a long time

Iceland’s nature & Reykjavik’s coolness is something I will carry with me forever, a crazy cool country in so many ways. I know I’ve said it before, but it’s really special! The colors are a bit stronger, the contours a little clearer and the air a little crispier than usual! I will miss the proximity to the sea, the snow-capped peaks, the spraying lava

It feels good to know that the magic is still there, close to home

Coming home will be really wonderful in so many ways, to meet everyone close, live in our lovely house, take on the garden and resume everyday activities at home again, now with Kaj in the family. We bring home a dog and many experiences richer!

Feels a great gratitude that Iceland welcomed us with such open arms, has really felt like a real home this year
